Bill founded both Aloecorp, the world leader in Aloe as a natural raw material, and Unigen Pharmaceuticals, a research and discovery company which focuses upon plant extracts.
He is a member of the World Economic Forum and was selected as a founding member of New Asian Leaders. His membership is tribute to the economic achievements of the ECONET companies, and their commitment to the World Economic Forum goals of social responsibility and global sustainability. He also served as the Chairman of the Board for the IASC (International Aloe Science Council). In recognition of his devotion to the IASC, his name was dedicated to the industry Hall of Fame.
Bill is currently positioning the ECONET companies in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Korea, China and Russia as a world-class wellness group. His purpose is to devote the rest of his life in this industry, and to fulfill the mission and philosophy he developed of "bringing the best of nature to humankind" through ECONET's unique group of vertically integrated natural products companies.
Ralph Bietz, PhD, MBA, MS – President

Ralph is an award-winning executive whose 35 year career brings vast Global business and technical experience to Univera. His career includes senior level positions in Fortune 100 multinational corporations as well as private firms. He has been interviewed and lauded by The Wall Street Journal for creating one of the first on-site custom executive education programs in the U.S. with the internationally acclaimed Goizueta Business School at Emory University. His MBA thesis is used in 22 different countries, 9 different languages, & copyrighted by two Fortune 50 companies. Ralph's PhD is in Natural Products and Methods. His global executive experience includes managing businesses in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Caribbean, and North & South America with Novo Nordsk AS, Seagram's & Sons, The Coca-Cola Company, G.D. Searle-NutraSweet, PepsiCo-CBC, Crystal Cascade, BioRev LLC, and Hoechst AG.
Casey Harris – General Counsel and Vice President
As General Counsel for Univera, Casey is responsible for regulatory review and compliance, establishment of legal structures for new international markets and provides legal advisement on various corporate matters. Casey additionally serves as Secretary to the ECONET Board of Directors. He has extensive industry knowledge in the areas of intellectual property control and licensing, FDA and distributor compliance, trademark and patent law, as well as international product registration and labeling. Casey holds a JD from Lewis and Clark Law School and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association; Utah State Bar Association; United States Patent and Trademark Office and J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
Byung Sohn – Vice President of Administration
Byung has been with Univera and ECONET for 15 years. As Vice President of Administration for Univera, he brings 20 years of experience to managing the finance, accounting, and facility management departments. He has been instrumental in the forward progress of ECONET and Univera, including playing a key role in the procurement of our Seattle global headquarters. He also managed the renovation of the building and the relocation of all ECONET companies. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Denver with a MBA and a Master of Science in Finance after achieving a Master of Science in Economics in Korea.
Bart Dangerfield – Vice President of Business Development
With over 25 years of experience in direct selling, Bart has a deep passion for this industry. While he has branded, marketed and launched products ranging from travel and technology, his greatest satisfaction comes when promoting nutritional and personal care products that have a powerful impact on the wellbeing of the customer base. Combined with his love of all things marketing, this makes him a perfect match for Univera. With a career that started in an advertising agency, he has worked to create positive changes not only within the organizations he’s been a part of (which includes startups, billion-dollar industry giants and everything in between), but to forward the mission and vision of the direct selling industry as a whole. Armed with a BA in Communications from Brigham Young University and an Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, Bart is continually working to make Univera the next billion-dollar success story.
Kristina Spadafora – Senior Director: QA/QC, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs, and Product Commercialization
As Senior Director for QA/QC, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs (SRA), and Product Commercialization, Kristina has managed Univera’s Quality Assurance/Quality Control department and regulatory functions for the US and Canada for the last 5 years. She is also responsible for product research, planning, formulation, development, and commercialization of Univera's products to the US and Canadian markets. She works closely with our vendors and with regulatory agencies. Kristina brings 15 years of experience of QA/QC management in cGMP/FDA areas, 21 CFR Part 111, NNHPD, ISO 17025, and ISO 9001. Kristina has a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.
Terry Welsh – Senior Customer Care Manager
Before joining Univera Terry worked 13 years in this industry. Her experience includes corporate leadership roles in commissions, incentives, customer care, events, and marketing. She values her close connection with the Associates. As a leader for Customer Care she works to encourage a Customer Care Team that emphasizes achieving Associate and Corporate goals.
